Sometimes things just start to make sense. The groove becomes telepathic, voices blend, songs
flow like water, the buzz starts. With just over a year of making music together and only a few
short months of working as a duo, Prisoners of Paradise are finally doing what makes sense:
making great music together.
Stryder Croswhite (acoustic guitar/vocals) and Denny Richards (bass/vocals) are schooled
musicians who bring a sophisticated yet accessible approach to the acoustic format. Stryder
sets the rhythmic tone as he plucks away creatively at the “uptown chords,” while Denny’s solid
yet serpentine bass lines propel the groove. Each takes his turn on lead vocals while the other
adds harmony. No musical stone is left unturned, as elements of jazz, blues, folk, funk, rock,
latin and more are molded into what can only be described as Prisoners of Paradise music.
Audiences are already buzzing about the interesting musical interplay, the creative songwriting,
and the superb musicianship displayed by Prisoners of Paradise. Whether you catch them as a
duo, or with Stryder’s father Joddy sitting in on dobro and pedal steel, or with any number of special
musical guests, or even backing up other Michigan artists live and in the studio, when
Prisoners of Paradise are in town you are bound to be captivated!
Prisoners of Paradise rock! Stryder when are you coming back to Michigan man? When you do let me know we will half to play a little guitar and have a few drinks. Write me back bro, Peace.
Seriosuly...I totally didn't get ya'll's costume until I looked at the pictures yesterday. I assumed it had something to do with Stryder being Fla. bound. How wrong I was...

It was great seeing you guys this past weekend. I can't wait to hear you with the new drummer. Also, did you guys notice I was dancing during your late night set in the barn. The girls behind me were giggling at the milkshake I was bringing to the barn. I'm kind of like White Castle cause it was so good.
Stop in when your in Charlevoix sometime. My family had a dairy farm on the island in the 1800's. Moved to Charlevoix in 1924. My cousins still own the old farmstead. Carl
