Half raucous landslide and half lullaby, pointfive traverses a winding line between whisper and explosion, migraine and lark's call. Blending elements of indie, shoegazer, classical and experimental, they set translucent vocals against frantic drums, warm violin, anfractuous bass and looped, layered guitar to produce a thoroughly distinctive sound. With as many instrumentals as not, their songs disregard the laws of physics as they swell, swirl, explode and induce visions.
Lyrics laced with nonsense and nonchalance, their songs tell tales: of love affairs with mannequins, of a disadvantaged sewer rat’s plight, of slain lions and fantastic failures.
thank you!
your music is awesome:) i really like it!!
we should try to play a show together sometime (if you are ever in michigan, or we are in new jersey)!!
Hey .pointfive fans - Chris and I once had a band called "Ostracise." Our logo was going to be an ostrich in leg warmers. We wrote a song about superman being Sean Connery and nobody wanted him around.
But you can't hear that. Instead, you can listen to us - THE SEXY ACCIDENT! Try it, you'll like it.
