With „Out for a Kill“ Poison Ivvy just released their fourth Longplayer. After 20 years of their existence the Trio still remains faithful for its style.
The new Album is a Bastard of snotty Punk’n Roll, Streetpunk and some Instrumental Surf Music.
It reflects the pure energie, the sweat and blood of over 300 Live Gigs - so far!
Poison Ivvy started out in 1990 around the City of Zurich. After three Vinyl-Ep’s and being included on many Compilations all over Europe and the USA, they released in 1996 their Debut-Album “Call of the wild”. One year later followed “Cosmic Trash”, which was rather harder and faster than the previous Album.
In 2001 the third Album "Cheap Thrills" was born. They were touring all over Europe and have been to many national and international Radio- and TV-Shows. Furthermore they supported Bands like The Backyard Babies, Nashville Pussy, The Bones and many more.

Auch nach 20 Jahren ihres Bestehens ist das Trio seinem Stil treu geblieben. Das neue Album ist ein Bastard aus rotzigem Punk'n Roll, Street-punk und gutem alten Surf, sowie der Energie und dem Schweiss von über 300 Live-Auftritten. "Out for a Kill" fährt härter und mit mehr Druck in die Magengrube als die früheren Alben. Gleichzeitig sind die Arrangements der Songs ausgefeilter und es ist ein gewisser Hang zu mehrstimmigen Hymnen auszumachen. Poison Ivvy sind zwar melodischer - aber keineswegs ruhiger geworden.
Gefunden hat sich das Trio aus der Umgebung von Zürich im Jahr 1990. Nach drei Vinyl-EP's und zahlreichen Beiträgen zu diversen CD- und Vinyl-Compilations in Europa und den USA erschien 1996 das Debutalbum "Call of the Wild". Ein Jahr später folgte "Cosmic Trash", das einiges roher und rotziger lärmte. 2001 kam das dritte Album "Cheap Thrills" in die Läden. Die zum Teil weltweit vertriebenen Alben ermöglichten der Band Tourneen durch halb Europa und Auftritte in nationalen, wie auch internationalen Radio- und TV-Stationen. Auch standen sie als Support für Bands wie Backyard Babies, Nashville Pussy, The Bones...andere internationale Acts auf derselben Bühne.
