2007 Gameface MC Battle champion Orakle, and former esteemed graffiti writer Prolifik are Poisonous Youth.
Both also members of the Menace Records crew, they have been busy building up a solid fan base by performing around Christchurch since 2006.
Born into near opposite walks of life within Christchurch city, their music is the voice of today’s youth. Disillusioned by the bright lights and glitter within the garden city they use their raw, in your face, underground style as a vehicle to express their views on: religion, drugs, depression, and the self destructive lifestyle of New Zealand's young people.
They are currently writing and recording material for their debut street album, which is due out on Grymeworks in 2008.

Hey bros. Just dropin by to say ive had the mixtape for a while now and its been getting mad play on the walkman/ whenever cunts come over for a drink/ taking over hippies sound systems at partys. Its dope. I thought i mighta been biased for that grhymeworks shit but everyone seems to like the shit. Even that straight as Christian fella (remember him?) gave it props without knowing it was you. Heaps of highlights= overall good. Plus it grew on me.
