Poison The Innocent is an East Coast native ,born and raised in NJ. Always in the spotlight musically with bands and having played guitar for 3 years, P.T.I had a change of heart. He ended up returning to what he always loved doing, Hip Hop. It was not until May of 05 that Poison The Innocent officially exploded on the rap scene. Since then P.T.I has gained an enormous following through a well development street team and promotional agenda created by him and his team. His upcoming release "Hunting Season" will be dropping later this summer.
Poison The Innocent is at the center of a constantly growing movement - a conglomeration of different crowds of all ages- "They range from people who love hip-hop to hard rock to older adults and teenagers. It was never set out to be designed for one type of crowd, and never designed to fit one particular genre. Poison The Innocent raps about his emotions, his pain and struggle. What you hear is real, its not coming from ghost-riders and hidden talent. It’s what needs to be heard by others, whether its about the freedom of speech, problems in society or the pain and troubles everyone goes through. You can’t really stereotype it.
Poison The Innocent has been working non-stop since the release of "See Me Rise" in August 2005. "Every time I work on new material, its definitely about life and just the world we live in" P.T.I said. "Im always working on new songs to set a new mark and raise the bar for the next person out there". After being cornered by several labels after the release of "See Me Rise", Poison The Innocent realized in order to get his message across and do things his way, it needs to be independent and develop a major label type crowd-following. "Im able to work at a break necking pace, make my own decisions and just do what I do." Since the release of "See Me Rise", Poison The Innocent has been working in and out of the studio releasing both new tracks for his fans, as well as working behind on the scenes on production for other up and coming artists.
