Pokeroot and Mistletoe

written by Anna Standish
directed by Sarah Miller-Garvin

It's the night before Christmas and an angsty teenage boy does spells in his room, trying to solve his problems. But he gets more than he bargained for when Pokeroot, a demon, appears and takes him on as her pet project. A dark tragicomedy about desperation and doing something about it, the show tackles the trials of high school society, both trifling and grave, with the offbeat and extraordinary forces of heaven and hell. Pokeroot and Mistletoe is for everyone who has ever wondered what on earth can that teenager be doing holed-up behind closed doors all the time, and for everyone who has ever been behind that bedroom door.
