Hannah's Great Grandfather Walter Ernest Marten, who used to break through the ice, and take a real swim around Coney Island in the dead of Winter. No toe dipping for him!
About me: February 2, 2008 We're taking the Plunge again! Why wait?! With your help we're going to break last year's total of $1,155.00. Which, thanks to you put us beyond 2006's $1,050.00 Make that donation now, and feel all warm inside knowing these two fools are diving in the freezin' brrr-ine, the chilly waters, going bi-Polar for a great cause -- The Special Olympics Virginia!
You know you want to. Just click that first giving badge down there below the countdown clock, and pretend you're ordering a round of lattes or smoothies! These will taste even better. Thanks All, E. P. & H.

Dearest Family, Friends and Artistic Folk with Great Big Hearts,
It's time for the Polar Plunge in Virginia Beach Saturday, February 2, 2008! Once again, Ethan joins Pam in the Atlantic Ocean at Virginia Beach; jumpin' into the FREEZIN' BRINE as "Team Good Marten" to raise money for Special Olympics Virginia. In addition to laughing at us hysterically from the beach, Daughter Hannah will coach and document the event.
In fact, you may recognize her photography in the gallery on the Official Polar Plunge Website! Go Hannah!
Last year, thanks to you, $1,050 was raised for this worthy cause. Team Good Marten is aiming for $2,500+!! We thank you in advance for any amount you can donate to Special Olympics Virginia.
Here's how you can help us help Special Olympics: Visit our Polar Plunge Page, and use your credit card. If you're nervous about donating .. you may send a check (made out to Special Olympics Virginia) to Team Good Marten: 424 Massachusetts Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23508. Again, please make checks payable to: Special Olympics Virginia.
Thank you so very much for your time, and your moral and financial support.

Who I'd like to meet: You, and all the dedicated folk who come out to help Special Olympics.
Hello Everybody! We have less than three months to reach goal, and deliver a cool $2,500.00 cash to the Special Olympics. At the risk of sounding all Public Radio -- now is the time to click on one of these first giving badges and go to our Team Good Marten Polar Plunge Page. If you're mailing a check to the home address -- please send us an e-mail so we know what's coming in. Pam, Hannah and I have really appreciated the warmth, love and support that has come from old friends and new ones Since 2006. You have all come together for a very good reason. If you're in Virginia Beach February 2 -- come on down to the Ocean Front. Spending a little time getting to know the Special Olympians can keep anyone warm on even the chilliest day. They really are special people. There's gonna be a lot of love on that beach! See you there. Now do what you can to raise the mercury. Even Al Gore would agree, this would be some positive climate change!
It Was GREAT Seeing You Guys On Saturday! The Weather Was Beautiful! I have a nice picture of you two on my slide show! Check It Out!!! See You Next Year!
Well, it's a shock that the Giants won instead of the Patriots, I was hoping that Patriots would become the new Dolphins until the Giants last minute touchdown.
I had a lot of fun this year, and I reminded Elliott and a new girl on my list named Karista as possible celebrity plungers for next year, and I also won movie tickets, how did you enjoy the plunge this year?
Hope you enjoyed your birthday, and I'll see you at the plunge tomorrow, and you can tell me who you're rooting for in this year's Super Bowl then unless you give it away now. I'll see you tomorrow.
