Este grupo se forma a mediados del año 2001 con la intención (como la de muchos) de realizar Blues, llamándose en primera instancia ..REINA DE ESPADAS... .. A mediados del 2002 el grupo se solidifica y estructura como POWER GROUP denominado PolCastillo. Es el momento en el que se define uno de los perfiles musicales más relevante de la banda: ..BLUES ELECTRICO... .. Otra de las influencias más notables del grupo es el ..BLUES LATINO.., llegando a definir el estilo propio como de ..Blues Contemporáneo.., el cual abarca desde el Blues Clásico hasta el Soul, Jazz, Rythm and Blues & Rock clásico. .. PolCastillo en cada Show hace homenaje absoluto, tocando canciones de Artistas que lo han influenciado desde siempre: ..Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Freddie King, B.B. King, Albert King, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Sonny Boy Williamson, Ray Charles, The Beatles, Peter Green, SRV, Gary Moore, Vargas Blues Band, Joe Cooker, Miles Davies, Coltrane, Robben Ford.., entre otros. .. Desde el nacimiento de PolCastillo, éste ha sido una especie de semillero y albergue de Músicos locales, referentes del estilo, pasando por sus filas multitud de invitados y también integrantes. .. PolCastillo desde el año 2005 hasta la actualidad es un POWER TRIO, integrado por Alberto Castillo (Guitarra & Voz); Ricardo Fola (Bajo) y Horacio Del Franco (Batería), Ingresando en Septiembre de 2007 como armonicista, Franco Di Martino. .. PolCastillo ha tenido el honor de poder compartir y talonear escenarios junto a reconocidos artistas de nivel Nacional, tales como: .. ..León Gieco, Raúl Porchetto, Victor Hamudis (ex-Durazno de Gala), Ricardo Pegnotti (ex Miguel Mateos ZAS), Black Amaya (Ex Pappo's Blues), Luís Robinson (Ex Pappo's Blues), Vitico (Ex RIFF) y su Banda Viticus, El Chaqueño Pallavecino, Los Auténticos Decadentes, Cucho's Blues (Rosario).. y reconocidas Bandas y Solistas locales como: Crosstown Traffic, Rolo Casas, Búfalos Sedientos, La Gangosa, Carlos Carranza, Tío Paul, Mal Whiskey, Big Mamma, Fernando Ormeño, Mr. Kerendon, entre otros. .. PolCastillo cuenta con un EP Promocional grabado a fines de 2006 llamado “5 años de Rock & Blues” y con un DVD Promocional grabado en vivo en MariaMaria Pub el 21 de SEP de 2007, el cual muestra parte de su producción propia. A principios de 2008 lanzó un CD promocional de 3 temas, llamado “Ruta Pesada”, anticipo de lo que será su 1er. Disco de Estudio para el año 2009.
