Mission Statement
Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. (WBTB) is a national non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to offering much needed support and resources to law enforcement wives and families, as well as law enforcement agencies and the community as a whole.
Background
Wives Behind The Badge began in 2006 by a group of police wives, fiancees and girlfriends who met online and decided to start a support forum for other police wives dedicated to helping one another face the daily struggles of being in a law enforcement relationship. Participants of the online support reside throughout the United States as well as Canada, Australia and England.
WBTB is also are very proud of our
H.A.L.O.S. (Helping Aid Lost Officers Survivors) condolence card program. A card is sent to the family and police agency of each fallen law enforcement officer. Several police wives have been volunteered as angels to the wives of fallen officers - helping them cope with the loss of their officer - something we all fear.
In 2007 we expanded our H.A.L.O.S. program to include Fallen K-9's. After all, they are part of the Thin Blue Line as well.
Those that have joined our online support forum have become a big family&a sisterhood. Since its inception we have been dedicated to helping one another face the unique daily struggles of being in a law enforcement relationship.
During this time, founder Rose W. came to realize the support needs of police families went beyond the support forum. Many families were struggling financially because of loss due to natural disasters and medical trauma and many law enforcement officers and police agencies across the nation needed critical training and supplies but did not have the appropriate budget to accomplish this.
Because of these needs, Rose reached out to a close group of police wives and began the process of becoming non-profit to enable them to raise funds to help police families, law enforcement officers and police agencies throughout the nation as well as several foreign countries.
We are dedicated to helping one another face the daily struggles of being in a law enforcement relationship.

A POLICE OFFICER'S WIFE
.....Author Unknown
A special kind of woman:
A cut above the rest,
That's A POLICE OFFICER'S WIFE,
rating her the best.
How many goodbyes are whispered,
joined with a fond embrace?
As duty steals her man,
for the danger he must face.
How often have meals been ruined,
or tender moments disturbed,
by a call for a special duty,
sparking loyalty unswerved?
It's a devil of a job,
for an angel like this,
Who, for the love of her man,
must forsake that kiss.
She can run a garden tractor,
even paint a room in need,
How she can stretch a dollar-
is a miracle indeed.
She's a mother, lover,
chauffeur, and nurse,
A living symbol of:
"for better or for worse."
Rich is the man,
reaping his rewards in life,
who chose to be the other half of
A POLICE OFFICER'S WIFE.
Who I'd like to meet: "It takes a special person to be a Police Officer, but it takes an extra special person to be a Police Officer's Wife"
We would love to meet other police wives, girl friends and/or fiancee's.

It's me again...I want to tell that this myspace page has really made me appreciate and not take for granted my life with my husband. Though the jobs make him stressed therefore a grump - you still never know what can happen day to day.
Know that as a wife for police officer, firefighter, ambulance driver, that I know the stress and worry that all are under. But, united we stand!!! May God Bless All...l
