My name is Mike Lurie and I am the man behind Colonialhead Productions and Primary Colors Political Designs.
Primary Colors is a political design shop that creates political humor designs from an Independent point of view. The designs in the Primary Colors shop are not an endorsement for any person, party or perspective, I simply enjoy creating political designs for everyone from right to left and anything in between.
Instead of participating in partisan politics for any zealot cause, I like to recognize that often times, the truth is somewhere in between. I don't support a party line, but I do urge citizens to get out to vote, support our troops and look at the issues instead of blindly following a cause for the sole purpose of being on "a side". Vote the issues that are important to you.
Some of the designs in my shops are part of a humanitarian section that I call "Primary Charities". The development of these designs are my my way of supporting some very important causes that I am passionate about. For legal reasons, I do not name specific charities or organizations and do not list specific dollar amounts. I can tell you that as an individual, I donate upwards of 30% of my total annual income to various charities. I can also tell you that 100% of my annual income comes from my design work. You can do the math. While I don't claim affiliation with any specific charities, I do offer some links to my favorite charities in the left column. Click on the small charity icon to view some of my favorites. I track my charity work and my donation totals in the blog.
