Influences
I think the thing that has influenced the Itinerant Locals is coming from a generation that emphasizes short attention spans (like, two of them), a poor work ethic, seldomly finishing anything, and poorly constructed grammatically incorrect mispelled sentences. That alone would launch a musical career, not to mention all this confusion over a finely cultivated educational experience, and seriously well intentioned parents. And a diet high in leafy greens, with a healthy love of old mildewy stuff they get for cheap. We need an agent.
Sounds Like
You know that feeling you get when you walk into a giant theme park and your all excited and you can't believe this day has finally arrived so you start running as fast as you can towards the back because you know as the day progresses the lines are going to get SO long and your favorite ride is in the back or at least it used to be and you keep bumping into people but you don't care because its 10 A.M. and everything is right in your world and no one smells like B.O. yet because everyone just got done with breakfast and the heat of the day hasn't set in yet but you haven't yet come to terms with that by three in the afternoon you will NOT be making out with that mystery fox you're still hoping you'lle meet and your feet will hurt and you'lle have blown your lunch money on gummi bears and you'lle wish you could just go anywhere and your brain hurts from all the colors and noise and oversaturation and even the damn plants are singing to you and you've given up on love and the best things in life which seems like theme parks when your not at one and you're still hoping for something real to happen to you, anything. Well, you turn the corner and your magically transported to an other world nation, any one will do, 'cept they need palm trees. And you find this outdoor cafe and you sit down and put those tired dogs on the chair next to you. Then you light up a cigarette and order a strong black coffee, and there, in the far corner, you see us playing. And we hope you like it.
There is nothing the Itinerant Locals like more than fueling up the car, grabbing the kids, throwing the instruments in the back and heading out of town. Anywhere will do. They started playing out of necessity, as their wallets were flat and the gas tank was empty. This started years ago in Toronto, and ever since they have been unable to break the habit of poor planning mixed with large amounts of travel and caffeine. Hopefully, one day, one of their children will grow up and organize these two, but till then, we'll all have to enjoy the strange spurts of polka mixed with rock mixed with circus mixed with traditional tunes. And then there is Fred the Composer, this whole thing is kind of his fault. It was in his band so many years ago these two started sharing a music stand, and from there launched one of the strangest and most unexplainable musical careers in the annals of tuba and accordion duets.

Hi there you beautiful people. I'm so stoked to see our poster in the paper today. Sorry, we can't make it to the launch good friday. The show was AWeSOME thanks. You gon' have ta bring me some o them blueberrys now. Well, not now but maybe when they hatch. Like, really.
ya'll are so cool. i wish i could come but i'll be playing music off river. what would happen if zack put the tuba bell under the water and blew real hard? would it be like the old cartoon where all the fish shot up into the air? he should try it. love ya, cd
Holy crap, didn't you know? You two are HUGE over here! Man, I thought you knew... I see your pictures everywhere. In fact, I'm getting a little sick of hearing your songs on the streets of Japan so please don't send a CD. I can't even compete with your fans here, so I'm going to have to start hating your music. But I'll always enjoy your personalities. As for the Brau Haus, of course it isn't functioning without me! I was the bitch at the front. Vanessa will have to get meaner.
Oh, and I really do miss seeing yall and hearing yall every Saturday! Cheryl, sorry I was so drunk last time I saw you. I am ashamed.
