    Dear Sheriff Judd,I recently read an article about your work against child pornography. I wanted to write you a letter and tell you how much I appreciate you and your teams work against such a heinous crime. I am an adult survivor of child sexual abuse. This subject is near and dear to my heart. I often am moved to prayer for children who are being sexually abused all over our country. Only God can see all of it, and only he can truly handle such a huge problem. These prayers are always tear filled as my heart literally aches for the nightmares these children are living through. I have often led other prayer groups through prayers against child pornography and am always asking God to stop the abuse in any way he sees fit. I see that God is using you in your position to fight against this evil and wicked oppression from Satan. I am so encouraged to know that a man who has the authority to do so has the passion and commitment you do to catch these sick and broken people who are abusing defenseless children. I wish every sheriff in every county was as fervently fighting against this as you and your wonderful dedicated team. It seems these child abusers are everywhere. I read the headlines all the time about it and I am astonished at the amount of people who are caught almost daily. As a result I have become an extremely vigil parent of my 6 year old daughter and warn other parents often that you cannot trust anyone with your child. I don’t even want to remarry for fear of that man hurting my daughter. I will continue to pray for God to rescue these children, and I am confident that will result in more “Grady Judd’s” being raised up all over the country. My hat is off to your team as well

    Deputies make 42 arrests in coordinated crime interdiction effort
    Illegal gambling residence found

    On Thursday, August 27, 2009, members of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office Central District PROCAP (Proactive Community Attack on Problems) Squad, conducted a crime interdiction initiative in the Florence Villa, Carefree Cove, Inwood, JPV, and K-Ville areas of Polk County.  During this initiative numerous citizen contacts, neighborhood patrols, and traffic stops were conducted.  These efforts resulted in 42 arrests.  CHECK OUT OUR BLOG FOR MORE ON THIS CASE
