Toupee
Toupee is infamous for her range of styles including repeato-jak, ebm, intelligent techno, electro_nix and and of Course Mother Fucking Depeche Mode... ..
She likes it deep, cheese gives her a rash, and she's as fussy as fuck about playing deep underground music with synthetic tension and robotic release.
Andrew Till
Andrew Till began DJing in the late 80's fusing together elements from several electronic musical genres weaving a vast aural spectrum of sound. He was one of the pivotal forces behind Melbourne's techno/trance community, setting up Australia's finest electronic label Psy Harmonics* in 1992 (which he still runs along with two new labels SUB & Cyan Music) and also is regarded as one of Australia's pioneering psychedelic DJs and producers. His experimentation with new styles and genres has earned him respect worldwide.
Zen Paradox
Zen Paradox was established in 1991 by Steve Law as a solo outlet for his more techno oriented electronic music work. Steve has previously been a member of the groups Foil and Guild of Fire, and is a current member of Black Cab and High Pass Filter. His other solo projects include Mutagenic Mind, Mr. Suspicious and Solitary Soul. Steve has been producing avant garde and electro-acoustic music since 1984, and in 1996 was awarded the ABC Classic FM Computer Music Award for his composition "Urbania". He has collaborated with many other artists, including recorded works as Starseed Transmission (with Andrew Park), The Sonic Voyagers (with Voiteck), Retreat Syndrome (with Andrew Belcher), The Mutagen Server (with Ollie Olsen), Son of Science (with Andrew Garton) and Memory Geist (with Bakis Sirros).
Kali
Not one to take her djing seriously, Kali likes to get behind the decks every now and then to intuitively crank out some fav tunes. Styles range from french electro pop to new wave to industrial tinged techno to fat funky and sometimes otherworldly beats. Depending on where she is in her cycle you never know what you'll get... Open minds need only apply ..
Dee Dee
Co-founder of Australian party icon club Teriyaki Anarki Saki which ran every Thursday night for 9 years, and DJ for over 14 years, Dee Dee has firmly established himself as a leading techno DJ and has played for nearly every major promoter and event along the eastern coast, and supported countless international players.
Thanks to a record collection amassed over 14 years and his desire to step outside the confines of the techno party circuit, he has been delving into the more eclectic part of his collection of late which has secured him guest spots at various venues and parties throughout Melbourne, Australia and abroad. Playing electro to house to 80’s trash, rock’n’roll, techno… anything! Music is music, whatever the genre, and it’s music that moves Dee Dee and the dancers.
Colonel Mustard
Through co-incidence and a similar philosophy on life, parties and humour Damian became involved in Messy creations where he played his first gig in late 2001 and never looked back, playing every Messy party since and becoming more and more involved in contributing to this unique collaboration.
From a musical perspective Damian found himself struck and inspired by that powerful, rolling, and abrasive techno sound which remains a keystone of his musical taste. However as time has taken its natural course his tastes have broadened, meandered through a wide spectrum of sounds from rolling party bounce, to textured, droning grit, to delicate, crystalline chime, and heavy, surging body music.
Dr.Zaius
dR. zaius started mixing tunes to broadcast the sounds of experimental music. This brought him to the attention of Brisbane Label, DadaStream Publishing who he represents in Melbourne. Z's beats range from PsyBreaks and Jungle, Glitch & iDM to solid Minimal Grooves and Deep Tek, which he has dropped up and down the east coast at festivals like Earthcore, Tribeadelic, Earth Freq, Somatica, Polytronic & Cairns Winter Solstice.
About me: After many successful and fun filled Polynate's it's time to welcome in summer and what better way to celebrate the last one for the year than Halloween :D
So come and join us as over the dark side as the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, you just never know what kind of ghoulish ghosties you may see wandering ;)

Our idea is to mix genres of a similiar flavour and to always make the night a journey :)

Nov 8th is LAB's 3rd Birthday and to celebrate the success of one of Melbourne's leading underground minimal events, the LAB boys are showcasing the renowned Mark Henning (UK), a modern minimal genius, a true leader in the scene. Mark's here for the launch of his long awaited new album 'Jupiter Jive' on Soma. If you're not familiar with Henning's work, maybe you've heard of LAB's notorious warehouse party in 2007 featuring 'Someone Else' - well this is guaranteed to shake the same bones. This guy's been one of most standout producers in minimal techno releasing on all the top shelf labels such as; FoundSound, Einmaleins, Soma, Trapez, Freude am Tanzen, Morris Audio, Safari, Milnor Modern, Cynosure, Mo's Ferry and more. Over the last few years his productions have mad their way into the record bags of Ritchie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Magda, Laurent Garnier and Craig Richards, just to name a few. So with the help of the LAB trio, Mixed Messages, Tim Richards (Curfew Records,N.Z) and an encore performance from Toby Fairbank, this is destined to be one of the best minimal nights of the year. Make your way down that dark elusive alleyway off little Bourke St in the city up the dodgy elevator and get loose with some of the maddest tunes around.
