About me:
The Polynesian Paradise Dancers (PPD) is a professional Polynesian dance company dedicated to the preservation of Polynesian performing arts and culture. Our Polynesian revue features a talented cast of exotic and beautiful dancers, an exhilarating fire knife dancer, mesmerizing choreography, live music and heart-pounding drum beats. It promises to be an amazing and unforgettable show for audiences of all ages.
Established in Southern California by Akemi Welsh, the Polynesian Paradise Dancers has grown to be one of the most sought-after Polynesian entertainment groups across the U.S. and abroad. The company has landed various high-profile events, including movie premieres, television appearances, nine international tours as well as a 58-city nationwide tour.

The Polynesian Paradise Dancers are looking for special male and female Polynesian dancers to add to our local company and touring company. There is pay for performances and travel expenses are paid as well. There are rehearsals required. Dancers who sing are a plus.
We are holding auditions: Tuesday June 2nd, 9th, & 16th at 7:30pm and Thursday June 4th, 11th, & 18th at 7:00pm

The Polynesian Paradise Dancers is a professional Polynesian dance company dedicated to the preservation of Polynesian Performing arts and culture. We specialize in traditional and modern dances from the islands of Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand and Samoa.
Over the years, the Company has had the honor of sharing the hula & other cultures of Polynesia with thousands of Southern Californians, including dignitaries and celebrities. Past performances include a nightly 8-week run at the Pageant of the Masters (Laguna Beach,CA) and a daily 5-week run of the “Lilo &Stitch Hawaiian Beach Party” at the El Capitan Theater (Hollywood, CA) in which Company Director Akemi Welsh was hired as a Consultant for by BuenaVista Pictures. The Company has also engaged in a 5 month US tour and 9 International tours.
