"..He recorded a 9 tracks instrumental demo cd with tunes from smooth ballads to powerful instrumental rock pieces. There are some funny licks inside which are influenced by Mattias Eklundh or Bumblefoot (his most noticeable influences). The best representation of this influences are inside “Do you have Sauce”, “Bonjour”. We also find a marvellous ballad inside this demo cd, “endless love” or “moments of life”, which reminds me of Andy Timmons’s song “Cry for love”, and “Mad do boogie” reminds me of the English guitar player Jan Cyrka. Ponco mulai bermain gitar sejak kecil ( kelas 3 SD) secara otodidak, yang selalu curi-curi kesempatan utk memainkan gitar kakaknya, pengalaman yg berkesan yaitu pada umur 5 thn suatu hari Ayahnya mengajaknya untuk melihat Band dimana Ayahnya juga bermain Drum, kontan saja memicu adrenalinnya yang meledak-ledak, apalagi musik yang mereka bawakan emang Rock N Roll A la Beatles, setelah itu Ponco mulai mendengar Led Zepplin,Rush dll seperti sarapan pagi tiap hari.
Waktu Kelas 1 SMP 90 awal Ia kebetulan nonton film Back to The Future M.J.Fox, setelah saat itu nyali untuk bermain gitarpun semakin menggila. Ia kemudian memutuskan untuk belajar di YMI Solo, cuma saat itu Ia masih bermain Classic, setelah lancar fundamental, segera Ia mempelajari Elektrik Gitar, kemudian Ia melanjutkan Studi ke PAZZ MUSIC STUDIO di Solo dibawah didikan Harry Gusman, dan mulai bermain Band, yang mainin lagu2 Slank, Mr.Big, Edane dll.
Sesuai perjalanan karir dari Band ke Band akhirnya Ia tiba di Jakarta untuk belajar Musik di IKJ ( 1997- Alumni ) dan disitu jadi banyak pengaruh Classic yang lumayan banyak, dan sempet juga bermain cafe ke cafe. Seiring dengan waktu Ia kemudian sempat Join dengan Band Overture(IKJ) tapi gak lama, lalu bersama Iman (eks.Pendulum) membentuk Imanissimo yang ber genre Progrock, Imanissimo telah Recording album di bawah P.R.S (Progressif Record of Sony Indonesia). Sekarang Ponco sudah tidak bergabung lagi bersama Imanissimo. Di saat itu Ponco telah mulai sibuk dengan kegiatan mengajar di bilangan Jakarta, Bekasi dan Depok, dan sempat juga menjadi session player studio baik untuk artist/band dan jingle advertisement.
Ditahun 2004 Ponco kembali serius menekuni study nya dan memutuskan untuk berangkat ke US untuk belajar di University of Central Oklahoma School of Music. Selain kuliah Ia juga banyak kesibukan dengan bermain di jazz band, duet guitar saxophone, quartet jazz band, serta beberapa rock dan country band di area Oklahoma dan sekitarnya. hal lain yang tak ditinggalkan nya selain bermusik on stage , Ponco juga lebih banyak berkutat di dunia Jingle dan Advertisement US, baik untuk media product, radio, televisi bahkan hingga ke movie soundtrack production. Setelah merampungkan study Master di major Performing Arts Ia kembali ke tanah air dan mulai kembali bermusik dan juga di minta untuk menjadi staff pengajar di alma mater Institut Kesenian Jakarta (IKJ) di Fakultas Seni Pertunjukan - Musik (Classical and Electric Guitar Major)
Ponco berharap banyak untuk bisa melihat generasi muda musik Indonesia berkibar baik di kancah nasional dan international, Hidup musik Indonesia!

Not much gigging lately, have three shows booked as of now. But things are a bit slow right now. I've written a few songs for a Dutch/American singer/songwriter who will be recording her debut CD during the next few months. Other than that I've been working on some solo stuff which I hope to record this year, but I don't have any elaborate plans for releasing it. Just make it available for download somewhere, nothing special. The things I'm working on now are acoustic and ambient, much in the vein of Al DiMeola and David Torn. Not that I play like those guys...
Anyways, hope you're doing well. If we (or me by myself) ever come to Indonesia, I'll be sure to look you up.
