Based in Bristol, UK, Pond Life's music is easy to explain, but harder to describe.... So I won't bother. The word "band" is a bit of an exaggeration, perhaps "collection of social misfits" would be more appropriate.
Whilst their style spans (or "slaughters") many genres it should be noted that Pond Life are the only band in the history of comedy to give out free Broccoli at every gig. Many bands today engage in the highly pretentious practice of competing with each other in order to find the most ostentatious way to describe their genre.
Pond Life are no exception.
However, they have recently streamlined their description to "Vaguely Folkish Alterna-Rock Pop Comedy Gospel Nu-Calypso.
However, they do feel that this falls somewhere short of accuracy.
