Order of the Keys is more than music, It is a frame of mind. The basic framework of the Order was laid out in another time and space. What followed has been a decade-plus of cooperative musical entrepreneurship, throughout which the two members of the Order have developed a highly creative and harmonized musical partnership, as can be seen in their curriculum vitae.
In the early nineteen-nineties the Order undertook their first musical endeavor when they formed the band Nudibranch. Years later electronics were added to the outfit, the name was changed to Hot New Dance Hits, and the revolutionizing of electronic rock music began. It was during this period in which the Order took on many of the characteristics still seen in their work today.
While their methods tend toward the unconventional at times, they are by no means unsound. The Order absorbs the simple everyday elements around them and synthesizes these within their own unique environment. Working abreast in the confines of their private studio they are able to achieve the subtle yet acutely conspicuous resonance found in their music.
After all, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
I just listened to Blonde Eyed Girl and I'm a little misty-eyed. I'm at work and it's a little embarrassing. People might think it has something to do with Valentine's Day. Jeez.
These are simply great songs, for sure, and I'm not trying to please you. Blonde Eyed Girl is beautiful, it nearly made me cry, Farfisi and Blowing Fire got this special thing that was in HNDH, it's stranded, dark, funny, angry, strange, I don't know how to explain but it talks to me a lot ;)
