Christbait formed in 1989 and officially spilt in 1996.

Review: This album proved to be Christbait's swan-song, which was a great shame since it contains some of the best and more memorable Christbait songs. This is heavy stuff, but Christbait keep the music engaging with great dynamics. You can see more of the stoner influence in some of the tracks on this album. Craig and Jason went on to form Dern Rutledge, a Melbourne stoner-rock band. Adam Simmons plays some saxophone on this album, but metalheads shouldn't follow the link. [Seb] Missing link.

Review: Even now when I listen to this EP, I find it hard to see why this band did not become more well known outside Melbourne. Maybe I'm just being parochial, but in the early 90s Christbait shows easily bettered any of those by grindcore bands that made it over here from the UK and northern Europe. I guess Christbait weren't really a grindcore outfit (maybe "stoner grind" is a better category), and they did find it difficult to fit into a particular scene: they sort of hovered between punk, metal and pub rock. Still, that shouldn't prevent anyone listening to such good music that deserves a wider audience. [Seb] Missing Link. P.S PLEASE DON'T POST ADDS FOR RING TONES, LARGE IMAGE GIG ADDS(unless one of my gigs) OR ANY OTHER WONDERFUL DEALS, I'M JUST GONNA DELETE THEM.
