Band MembersSolo effort by poojalooba_cow (on piano, keyboard, guitar, trumpet, trombone, harmonica, ukulele, and auxiliary percussion). poojalooba_cow also does all of the writing, recording, mixing, and producing himself.
InfluencesBenny Green, Red Garland, Ahmad Jamal, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, Oscar Peterson, Charles Mingus, Songs To Wear Pants To, The Beatles, Ben Folds, Rubén González, Led Zeppelin.

Mostly jazz music and piano players, especially jazz pianists.

Sounds LikeA nasty bluesy messy mix of jazz and blues and rock, with strong emphasis on piano. Guitar, trumpet, and other instruments feature occasionally.

Occasionally I'll write in other genres too, like alternative-pop or Latin.

   About poojalooba_cow

"The Band" is just me, poojalooba_cow. I do all the playing, songwriting, lyricizing, recording, mixing, and producing. In some ways, I think that's a lot better than working with a band, and in others, I think it's a lot worse.

Pros include:
-You don't get in any big arguments or anything like that and hate each other (well, I guess you can argue with yourself, but if you do you've got some problems...)
-Your vision of the music is always the only one to go with. Nobody else is trying to change your ideas for what the music should be.

Cons include:
-There aren't as many people around to critique your music, your playing, your voice, your guitar solo, et cetera.
-You're kind of limited in the range of instruments and abilities available. I'd like to play a drum set, but I don't have one and I wouldn't know how to play it very well even if I did. If I found someone who had one and started jamming with him, I'd suddenly have someone available to play drum set for me. Bands are much better in this way.

But, enough about why I'm a solo artist. Now I'll go into what I do as a solo artist.

I play the following instruments, and have been playing them for the following amounts of time:
-Piano (ten years)
-Trumpet (six years)
-Trombone (five years)
-Harmonica (four years)
-Guitar (two years)
-Ukulele (one year])

With all those instruments (and a bunch of additional synthesized instruments like orchestra and synthesizers on my digital piano) my music takes on a quirky, funny, distinctive feel and sound. Hopefully, it's marketable!

haha, no its fixed now. We're together and better than ever.

BUT, yes we're still doin the US tour and you are MORE than welcome to come along and be our rodie. It'll probably cost you around six hundred bucks, just for your food and plane ticket back from Boston.
But its a life changing experience :) and it'd be fucking awesome to have you along for the ride

Thanks Jordan! We sincerely appreciate the comment. It makes our lives worth living, and our jobs worth doing, when kids can understand the music as a whole and LISTEN! When a person just gives a first glance to the music he/she is turned off because of the complexity, length, and chord structures. The harmonies aren't your everyday pop major keys. FTE harmonies are a blend of natural harmonics with bits of added disonants and out of key nots. BUTTTTTTTTT... we blend them; which is not an easy thing to do.

But thank you Jordan. Your comment made me smile. We'll be ecstatic to find a drummer and bassist who can perform and emote on stage like we do. Thank you so much. XOXO

Sincerely,

-andrew
