It is so completely stationary a life, but reading and movies and lots of tunes keep me occupied in the spare time. How boring is that?

Music

I am not a very knowledgeable listener and I will never be as eclectically cool as all you folks out there with these obscure bands named on your spaces that I cannot even pretend to have heard of. I am so jealous!!!! My Dad is a Beatles fan, so needless to say...it is in my genes to love them. I tend towards the bratty Brit alt rock. My scratched beyond recognition Ipod Touch is currently spinning out The Hives, Fratellis, Paste Magazine issue 41 Sampler, Mugglecast and This American Life.

Movies

Most anything in Black and White. Judy Garland, Kate Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Gene Kelly, Jimmy Stewart, Fred Astaire, Shelly Winters, Cary Grant, Leslie Caron, Greer Garson. I will always love Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables, Wives and Daughters, Love in a Cold Climate, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and North & South (NOT the civil war mini). In fact I am totally infatuated by this one and cannot physically remove it from the DVD player. (And that is quite alright by me)

Television

I am an unfaithful lover of Robin Hood on BBCA, since I am now a hopeless puddle of starry eyed wonder when I see Richard Armitage in anything anymore. It's a dumb show but it's all about the eye candy.

John Steinbeck (The Grapes of Wrath has to be the most beautiful book ever written), Jane Austin, Harper Lee, Tolstoy, Carson McCullers, Truman Capote, Janet Finch, Maeve Binchy, Edith Wharton, Nancy Mitford. Absolutely LOVE Harry Potter!! Reading now: Just finished Mitford's Love in a cold Climate. Am just starting to read North and South and 100 Years of Solitude.
