   About Colour Me Pop
Colour Me Pop is a DIY indie pop gig promoter in Chicago. What does that mean? We book a nights' bands ourselves. We DJ complementary music in between the bands and maybe get people to have a dance! We do this to encourage and champion the indie pop community, which has little to no support in Chicago. Most of all, we do this because of our great passion for indie pop music. The new and exciting indie pop bands, record labels, popfests, club nights, and zines (paper ones even!) worldwide are just too much of a force to ignore. * We are Jennifer and Martin, 2/4ths of the people who promoted and DJed the monthly indie club night Pure Pop for Now People from 2003 - 2005, first at the Bottom Lounge and then at the Underground Lounge. * Where does our name come from? Check the show name that this brilliant performance comes from. Oh, the stylish abandon with which awkward men danced! * If you're a band who'd like to play a Colour Me Pop gig in Chicago or a venue who would like to work with us, please contact us. And we still long to DJ our favorite pop songs really loudly and sing along and dance with you. If you would like us to DJ songs from The Field Mice to The Pains of Being Pure at Heart at your next do, contact us! * Email: popchicago (at) gmail (dot) com

Evening Jennifer, how are you settling in?

I've been enjoying Intercity Baby '09 over the last few days, I love how all the contributers have came at it from their own unique angle giving the magazine real variety.

I've even written a new song to celebrate, it's called Last Train To Clarkston.

Enjoy, Laz.

May the fourth be with you!

Hi Jennifer!! I've just received the zine and I like it a lot! I've not read it completely yet, but there are many friends in it. I didn't know that I was going to find comments of Roque, Marianthi, Pete B, Pete Green... and I didn't know the Marlovers from Spain.
Thanks a lot. And I love the pictures.
