About me:
My name is Craig... I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland... I can do some things... walk, cook, talk, sleep, play dijeridoo... but mainly im known for painting... I use oils mostly, on pretty big canvases...
My history:
What sticks out in my memory... had a great childhood really... no money but lots of friends and family... I was always drawing... talent noticed early... had a piece put in the National Gallery of Scotland at age 12... too much pressure and lost interest at 14... at 19, acid happened... started drawing and painting again... made flyers and big florescent backdrops and weird floro sculptures for my mate Lee (DJ Murder by Sound) for the plexus parties at the vaults in Edinburgh 92/93... then did murals on the interior of the club Carbolic Frolic in Edinburgh... ended up in San Francisco to paint a mural at a new club there in 93... in 94... moved to San Francisco and toured the techno circuit there for 2 years... hanging art at 1015 Folsom, Boogie Buffet, Friends and Family, 150 Folsom, Megatripolis, Trocadero, CCC, Burning Man, Etc... 97... had a beautiful baby daughter, Aurora...98... moved to the high Arizona desert and developed my oil painting... 99... back to SF... hooked up with the Blue Room people from London, who had just started up in SF... became the organiser for all the art and installations for their monthly parties... designed and helped build the entrance to 'boomtown' at burning man... 2000... became the art director for John Wood of the Tantra parties and the Late Night Coalition (the Late night Coalition (LNC) fought the city and now are in charge of party permits in SF... amazing!)... 2002... back to scotland for a year... did a bunch of paintings to give to all me old mates and relatives... 2004-now... back in the states... living in Tucson, Arizona... hanging with my daughter Aurora... 300 days of sunshine a year... huge university... people from all over... painting every day... selling every month, haha... running a gallery... throwing blacklight parties... having art shows... throwing music shows... downtown Tucson...
