The Tonics are indie musicians with a not-so-indie goal: to create catchy but meaningful pop songs worthy of their influences, who range from The Beatles to Morrissey to Elliott Smith. Formed in 2001, the Tonics are dedicated to studying and applying the techniques of the greatest pop/rock songs from the oldies to the present, but without putting constraints on themselves that would make their music sound dated or "pastiche." With their debut album, Get Things Done, the Tonics have created a new kind of music that has the mass appeal of pop songs but also the honesty and timeliness of indie rock. Their gigging experience includes venues such as the Blue Cafe in Long Beach and the Lava Lounge in Hollywood. They are currently looking to sign with a record label to help distribute and promote Get Things Done.
