Welcome to the POPKINGS MySpace page. We had a ball making this music and we wanted to share it with you and yours. We hope you'll enjoy it too! The new songs uploaded (August 2009) are part of a collection we're tentatively calling "Miss O'Brian's Legacy", and were mastered by Motown legend Bob Olhsson.
WHO WE ARE: We're famous and not-so-famous musicians - some of us write for TV & Film, others are members or former members of Elton John's band, Orleans, Rock & Pop Masters, Hall & Oates, Planet9 and others. The common denominator is that we want to help each other make music WE care about.
Most of what's posted here has been recorded in the past year in our studios located all over the country. As you'll find out, our music has a whole lot of influences - but it makes us smile, and that's the point! Hopefully you'll agree and recommend us to your friends.
