The Zombiez rose from the dead out of Denver area Chatfield and Evergreen High Schools in 1989.
We rocked a bunch of asses. Along the way we got to share the stage with great bands like Primus, No Doubt, The Wallflowers, Fishbone, Mr. Bungle, The Suger Hill Gang, The Samples, The Flobots, 311, US 3, The Fugees, GWAR, The Spin Doctors, Weapon of Choice, Critters Buggin, Ron Miles and many more.
Then we broke up in 2000.
The members of the Psychodelic Zombiez went forward and started
or played with the following groups.
Weapon of Choice, Trulio Discracious, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Nikka Costa, Everlast, Dakah, The Soul of John Black, Ani Di Franco, Chris Daniels and the Kings, Vincent and Mr. Green, Chewy Puma, Geggy Tah, The Break Mechanics, etc....
We released 3 recordings- SONGS FROM THE SHORT BUS, a recording produced by Mark Fuller (tape only) AN EVENING AT THE ZOO, produced by Mark Fuller, and S.A.C. recorded at A&M Studios by Michael Douglas and Alex Reed. The fourth (things that are brown) remains unreleased in Jeremy's basememt.
Gar lets finish dat sits yo~!
Wassup fellas? Great to see you on here...you are one of my favorite all time bands! I have played the shit out of S.A.C. and turned people on to it from Tucson to Portland. Peace and Love from Bum-Fucked-Wyoming, Rob Seeds-n-Stems
Hey, I just wanted to say that me and my friends used to come see you guys back in '94 at the old Mercury cafe in Denver and used to have the best time. I remember once when a guy in the audience wearin a Santa Clause outfit was pasing out free tabs to the whole crowd, making it truly a "Psychedelic" experience. I have the fondest memories of those days at the merc. I still listen to your albums weekly. Just wanted to spread the love. Let us all know if another reunion is ever coming up. Taylor
Thanks for the Sleepin' Sack, gents! I'll be chewin' on it 'till my gullet can wrap itself around some Brown. Viva the fantastic bombasticity and cranial meanderings of the Psy Zo!
hey, longtime fan here: just wondering if there was any chance you'd put out the 1st album, the 1st tape or that video out you had out again. I would buy it as I'm sure a ton of other people would. Hope all's well and hoping for another reunion show. Here's a shout to greatness.
