These are a few of my favorite things: knitting, weaving, hand-spinning, dyeing fibers, a good giggle, getting my groove on, tree-hugging, cycling, making stuff, organic gardening, avocados, persimmons (lots of 'em!), celery hearts, wasabi (!!), dark Maracaibo chocolate to the point of passing out, meeting new folks, clean air, blue skies, a good rain, mucho sunshine, full moons, mountains, snow, running, hiking, camping, backpacking, travel, IMPULSIVE ADVENTURES, road trips, and nearly anything involving the great outdoors.

**treasured pervy needlepoint made for me by the ever-so-crafty geer.**

About me:

..

Artist turned acupuncturist turned fiber ho...

After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Georgia, I was fortunate enough to be awarded a full Master of Fine Arts artistic scholarship to Indiana University where I continued my studio studies, focusing on texture and color and the organic commingling of the two. While at Indiana University I became enchanted by the seemingly magical Eastern Five Element theory and moved to New Mexico to pursue a Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. With my MS securely under my belt, I then moved to NYC where I set up shop for a few years until I came to my senses and realized that I prefer knitting needles to acupuncture needles. So, once again I packed up everything including the two dogs and decided it was time for a change of scenery, because if there's one thing I'm good at it's moving. This impulse led me to the beautiful land of Boulder, Colorado which I instantly recognized as my personal little nirvana in the mountains and a source of constant inspiration. It is here that I began dabbling in fiber arts and quickly became seduced by the limitless color possibilities and tactile nature of fiber, combined with its ties to utilitarian tradition.

I now spend my days dyeing, carding, spinning, knitting, fondling, and weaving fiber into unique pieces for others to use and enjoy. I am motivated by the notion of usable, wearable, free-form squishiness which continues to inspire and excite me on a daily basis.

Who I'd like to meet:

Vibrant, positive individuals interested in creating. Artists, musicians, travelers, adventurers, seekers, contributors, visionaries...anyone possessing a PASSION for something in life. Whose waters run deep but do not take themselves too seriously. Oh, and fiber junkies too.
