I love all the kind of music... especially pop. I love MADONNA, I love AQUA and their solo careers, I like Marilyn Manson, the Spice Girls, Robbie Williams, Pink, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and No Doubt... they're all in my music simply beacause their music is in my heart!
I am Richard Griffin but my real name is Riccardo Minora. I was born in Milan the 17th of May 1984 and I live in Bollate, near Milan.
I love music since I was a child, infact also at that age I used to write songs (not good songs but I was just a child :-) ).
During the summer of 1996 I entered in an Hip Hop group called "Funky Stanky", but I left the group at the end of summer of 1997, after some concerts (the group split up some months later). I left the group because I had understood that Hip Hop wasn't the kind of music I wanted to do. I was in love with POP.
So I started to write pop songs, the name of the first was "Party".
In 2001 I met Edoardo Morelli and we started to work to the music of my songs, the first we did was "I love you", followed by "Come into the groove". After a year and a half of working we had 11 songs so I decided to feel them in a demo album called "From the sunset to the sunrise".
In december 2001 I performed live for the first time during a show organised for the week against AIDS.
After this demo Edoardo and me started working to new tracks a bit different from the others. These songs entered in my new demo album, “Earthquake”, a mix of electro pop, R’n’B and rap.
After some years of silence in April 2007 I finally release a new song called '6 in the morning'. At the moment we’re working on two new tracks that will be ready very soon.
Io sono Richard Griffin ma il mio vero nome è Riccardo Minora. Sono nato a Milano il 17 maggio 1984 e vivo a Bollate, vicino a Milano. Amo la musica da quando ero bambino e infatti anche a quell'età mi divertivo a scrivere canzoni (ovviamente non erano un gran che ma ero solo un bambino :-) ).
Durante l'estate del 1996 entrai a far parte di un gruppo hip hop chiamato "Funky stanky" che lasciai alla fine dell'estate del 1997, dopo alcuni concerti (il gruppo si è definitivamente diviso alcuni mesi dopo). Lasciai il gruppo perchè avevo capito che l'hip hop non era il genere di musica che volevo fare. Io ero innamorato del POP!
Così iniziai a scrivere nuove canzoni, la prima in assoluto si intitola "Party". Nel 2001 incontrai Edoardo Morelli e insieme iniziammo a lavorare sulla musica di alcune mie canzoni, la prima prodotta fu 'I love you', seguita da 'Come into the groove'.
Dopo circa un anno e mezzo di lavoro avevo circa un'undicina di canzoni e decisi dunque di inserirle nel mio primo album demo, chiamato 'From the sunset to the sunrise'.
Nel dicembre del 2001 mi sono esibito live per la prima volta alla Casa del Tempo di Bollate durante una serata organizzata per la settimana contro l'AIDS.
Dopo il primo album demo io e Edoardo abbiamo iniziato a lavorare a nuove tracce, seguendo uno stile diverso dalle prime. Queste canzoni sono entrate a far parte del mio ultimo demo album 'Earthquake', un mix di electro pop, R'n'B e rap.
Dopo alcuni anni di silenzio, ad aprile 2007, ho finalmente pubblicato una nuova canzone, dal titolo '6 in the morning'. Al momento sto lavorando a due nuovi pezzi che saranno pronti molto presto!
