If SP3! had a little brother, he would be named Pop Riveter. Without a doubt, the musical talent and history that you will find in Pop Riveter is more than enough to carry this indie label into the 21st Century.
Reed pulled together a team of talented and musically diverse individuals to form Pop Riveter. Eric ..1 is taking a break from being Daytrip’s vocalists and guitarist to play his second passion, drums. Digital guru, Eric ..2, strengthens the band with his amazing guitar riffs and knowledge of music theory. Chris reinvents the sound of the synth that would make any mother proud. And finally, Shaymein finds ways to make the songs loveable and interesting, using whatever instrument is lying around to complete that Pop Riveter sound.
With last year’s first pressing of Strike You! Balance, Pop Riveter hit with a blow that still rocks the halls of band kids everywhere. Opening with Good Day, Pop Riveter invites you on a journey through the minds and hearts of the band members themselves. You are lifted off your seat with Groove ‘86 and reminded that love and taxes are not everything in Boathouse.
Simply put, Pop Riveter continues the original sound that first got this label going. They remind all of us that despite how old we get or how much responsiblity we take on in our lives, there’s always a little room for some of that indie rock.
