POP SWEATSHOP is an indie record label founded in 1999 in Olympia, Washington in a run down building on the corner of Olympia St. and Washington St.
The building was later sold, and due to an EPA warning about the previous uses on the site, I opted not to buy the building, and instead headed to the sunnier climes of Denver, Colorado, where we now have our own in-house recording and production studio. We are working in sweatshop conditions to bring to you creative and exciting new music, and hope to pay all of our artists at least 30 cents a week and a bowl of gruel. We primarily focus on modern rock, punk, power pop, and indie music. Artists with releases on Pop Sweatshop include Hemi Cuda, Minor Authority, SPIV, MAMA, Magstatic, Migas, Silverhawk, Afrosmith, and many others.
