    UGH! It's just that he picks the damnedest (I know it's not a word) times to take a nap. I am STARVING and I didn't plan on cooking because my dad gave us a gift certificate to go to Ruby Tuesday and we had plans to go. I tried to wake him up over an hour ago and he's still laying there. I'm moving on from annoyed to pissed off! anywayz, it went good. We got stuff for our wii. How was yours? know what sucks? that IM supposed to be the one that knows about "web-stuff" and your profile is better than mine? I'm a political and social justice advocate. A non-believer and faithful member of MoveOn, Common Cause, People for the American Way, the ACLU and the Project Innocence. I'm a bit of a news junkie, politics in particular.

Ok, I'm a total political news junkie, I sleep with C-Span on.

I believe in Pro-Choice, Equal Rights for All, Paper voting receipts, Net Neutrality, a Secular nation and an end to the old ways of doing business in Washington.

I believe in our new president and in the progressive ways we must adopt as a nation so we can once again live up to the ideas and standards put forth by our founding fathers. I believe PBS & NPR should be in the federal budget and fully protected by Congress.

Speaking of Congress, any member of Congress that is convicted of a felony (even just a little one) should NOT receive their life long government pensions and neither should their spouses. I can only imagine how much that would add up to and save us taxpayers. I really need to research this and post the numbers here.

I believe that earmarks (or pork) should NOT be allowed to be added to any bill. Whatsoever ! All salary raises for Congress should only be decided by voters based on campaign promises kept, performance and tally of lies. Lastly and maybe more important than all of the above; Any & all lobbying of politicians should once and for all be banned and deemed illegal by federal law. Subject to mandatory sentence of 20 years (for each count) in a Federal Penitentiary. Perhaps a little heavy but you get the picture.

Hopefully you have been paying attention to the current bullshit that's going on with the Healthcare Bill that President Obama is trying to get passed in both houses of congress. The GOP is up to it's old tricks again using Karl Rove's playbook with much success. Read on for more of what's up on this way too important issue !

In 1993 photographer Kevin Carter took this photograph of an African girl starving to death, nothing but a skeleton. Behind her, a few yards away was a vulture waiting for the girl to die so it could feast. The picture was taken in the Sudan.

                                                                                                                 ** In 1994 Carter's disturbing picture won the Pulitzer Prize and helped bring world wide attention to the starvation of thousands in the Sudan. Kevin was asked repeatedly if he intervened and saved the child. Being African himself Kevin was deeply affected by his photo and the question. It's not known if he ever answered the question in public.

The following year, in 1995, Kevin committed suicide.
