Porcelain - The finest of all ceramics, it retains its
strength even when very thin.
Origins - I started doing graphics for a local skate team. "The B Team" Running their website and whatnot. Some of the guys started playing in a punk band called "The Cransons" I started putting on shows for them and helping them with graphics and running their website. From there I've put on shows in Halifax, The Valley, Liverpool, Bridgewater and Fredericton. I've put on shows for over a hundred bands. I've done graphic design for hundreds of bands across Canada. And now I run my own Record Label and Clothing Company.
Through all of this I've lost halls, friendships, teeth, almost went to jail, put on countless shows, put on shows in backyards, houses, garages, watched a girl get hit in the face with a bible, trashed many hotels, got drunk, met some amazing people, got to see some amazing bands, put on some wicked after parties, got evicted, got screwed over many times, moshed, threw down, put on shows with 20-200+ kids, but through all of this we stuck together.
I will continue to run Porcelain regardless of who tries to stand in my way. I've dealt with everything and everyone and I'm still kicking, so don't try and stop me now.
We've been kicking it hard since early 2006, and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon. We're constantly changing and adapting. If you need help give us a shout
If you want to come to a show or play a show, abide by the following rules
a) No booze, no drugs, no bullshit. If you start shit at a show or bring drama, don't expect to come back.
b) No assholes. If your band is being a dick and cannot act on a professional level then you will not be allowed to play. If you steel anything, compromise the venue or create drama then you will no longer be able to play at the venue and you will be asked to leave. We've put up with enough assholes lately. We play music and listen to it for the enjoyment.
c) If you can't give proper notice when your band needs to cancel you will no longer be allowed to play at the venue. And if you don't show up on time without proper notice, then you will not be allowed to play either. We have too many bands canceling the day of the show without notice and we have too many bands showing up late.
d) There will no longer be guarantees. After expenses are paid there will be a 80/20 split. 80% of the door will go towards the bands playing. 20% will go towards equipment, posters, promotion, etc...
e) We will set up shows for any band, any genre, any day of the week as long as the hall isn't already booked.

LOL. Yeah we are super stoked about OLP. I am hoping I can try to have some drinks with Raine Maida... although he is pretty spiritual so he may not even drink or something lol. But still... they are one of my fav Canadian bands so its going to be pretty awesome! I do believe we will be pulling out the Eminem cover hahaha. We wore it out in Winnipeg but the East hasn't had to deal with it yet, so we may just have to do it. Thanks again for getting in touch with us to do the show. We are going to do everything we can to promote it from here before we leave and on the road!
- K / CRISIS JANE
P.S. - the poster for the show is actually really cool. I want to make one like that with a Canadian Prime Minister for one of our shows lol.
