Porch Builder's long-awaited new CD is now available! Get yours at: https://www.createspace.com/1754379
Porch Builder have been around in some form or another for over ten years now and they're not going away anytime soon. It all started with three brothers making noise in their parents' basement in Riverside Iowa, then gigs at parties, small town dive bars and the Iowa City music scene where they developed a devoted following. After a stream of several singers and drummers, their final line-up consists of Tom Spielbauer on vocals and guitar, George Spielbauer on guitar, Mike Spielbauer on Bass and Justin Huffman, also a Riverside native, on Drums. Years later, they still draw a rowdy crowd of freaks who can't get enough of their bluesy jams. This is a band that is best experienced live! Their sound is a blend of blues, country, surf-rock and even a little bluegrass and reggae.
always loved the fact that we used to hang in n' play in the same town...its nice to know you guys played the yacht with the same stoner house sign we brought to ic.....from riverside (not its origin...but we like to think thats where it shoulda began)...we should play a show sometime soon.....now
Have a good time tonight at Charlie's. Is there much of a cover for this benefit? I hear Karl Lowe is cooking some mean cuisine and that Dave Zollo is going to make noise after you're done making noise.
The new video kicks ass. I especially like the part where you guys hit the rhinoceros! Fuckin' rhinos are always getting in the way...particularly in Iowa...
Good to see you guys are still rockin'. I was listening to your CD and trying to figure out what the hell Joel was saying, did a search for PB lyrics and found this page. The new tunes are cool.
Great show last Friday! You really rocked West Branch. You've got to do more shows and stop keeping all those great jams to yourself. It just isn't fair.
