Reverend Pork Sword-The Patron Saint of Coffee..'s Interests
General
My wife & daughter Zoe, drumming, music in general. Paintball, hockey, things of that nature.
Finding truth in an otherwise bullshit world...
Music
Hmmm, my musical tastes have sort of changed lately. I guess I've gotten over the fanboy tech bullshit of "musicians music" and started to appreciate the music that moves me more than anything else. Anyone (properly trained mind you) can play blazing fast runs & enough notes to kill a small burrow. However, for example..listen to Pink Floyd, David Gilmour can hit one note & pummel your psyche. Jimi & Claypool have a similar effect on me as well.
I guess everyone wants me to list what I find to be the groove musically.
Well, here goes..no particular order.
Primus, Clutch, Tool, James Brown, Miles Davis, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Coltrane, the Doors, The Dead, Phish, PINK FLOYD!!!! Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Deee-Lite, Public Enemy, Eric B & Rakim, anything from Buddy Rich, Max Roach, most music from the 60's & 70's, Soul Choughing, Bob Marely.
That's all I can come up with at the moment.
Movies
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Goonies, Bravheart (uber violence) a clockwork orange, half baked, any paintball videos, cerial killers (awesome job, love that goddamn movie)Boondock Saints, Natural Selection, Natural Born Killers, saving private ryan (the begining is amazing) anything world war 2 related & vietnam related (loved platoon, full metal jacket
Television
don't really watch too much anymore...
Books
Hunter S. Thompson,I pretty much celebrate the mans catalog.
Heroes
My parents....plain and simple.
People who died for our rights, died for their own beliefs & those who refuse to live watered down.

About me:
"The Keenest Eye should be that which looks inwards"
I am passoniate about everything I do, I am all about my family and friends, they mean everything in the world to me. I have a beautiful daughter Zoe & she is getting big faster than I care to like. It's a true pleasure & honor to watch a part of you grow up. I think a lot of parents do not realize the extent of their responsibility to their children considering they are at the helm (to a huge extent) in making them who they are. I also feel you are the master of your own fate/destiny (karma withstanding), so I often get offended when someone calls me "lucky" for what I worked hard to get. Sure I am grateful for it, but luck isn't a by-product of busting your ass to achieve what you want from life.
I am also not the most religious person, however I do have faith. I also enjoy a good theological debate...well debate in general. I feel people lived watered down & do not have the gumption to stand up for their beliefs & rights.
I have a deep love & fiending for music. I wish I had more time to devote to it, but I get by. I have been playing drums for just about 15 years now. I have an obscence passion for it. It moves me in ways I can't explain! Just the chance to create & converse with people on that level is amazing. That being said, I love to jam for the hell of it, so feel free to hit me up if you ever want to get down. I don't consider myself stylistic. I always try my best to be part of the groove & to evolve with it. In front or behind it, whatever feels right is my musical motto I guess.
Who I'd like to meet: People who standup for their beliefs, which is rare these days. Most preach from a pedestal & can't take the heat of being questioned. I'd also like to meet people who care about what they do, it seems to me the world is becoming a society of self important assholes who have the "It's not my job" attitude, which is sickening. People who enjoy the beauty (or what's left of it) of the world. I'd also like to meet people who think outside the box & enjoy themselves. The world is too stuffy and people don't relax anymore. I guess the common thought here is I would like to meet free thinkers who don't take them self too seriously nor lightly. A rare hybrid indeed...
Some one honest, proud (but not arrogant) able to converse in every situation & enjoy life for what it is, not what you can get out of it. A person that enjoys the moment. Humble & loyal, someone that will admit when they are wrong but not give in when they are right. I pretty much described my wife, so yeah...I would like to meet more people like her. In fact if there were more people like her, the world would be a better place.
