"Before I knew it, he had climbed a tree and was doing what looked like a painful balancing act with full leg splits, all the time smiling, shining a purple flashlight on his ass and singing, “We are Porsches on the Autobahn, I say hey, hey girl.”-Wired

Five years ago, Porsches on the Autobahn left behind fame in their homeland of Germany in search of ultimate fame in America. Since then, they have redefined the genre of German techno-pop and built an enormous international fan base from their insanely high-energy concerts, music videos, and infectiously original style. Otto Jayayyemmri and Jürgen Bauer combine their lyrics and signature dance “trick moves” with the catchy beats of synthesizer virtuoso Volker Dassler, creating a jaw-droppingly energetic experience that could only be rivaled if the Beastie Boys, Kraftwerk and The Prodigy started a band.
They have shared the stage with Broken Social Scene, Digital Underground, The Bravery and The Dresden Dolls, toured all over the USA and Germany, and have been featured in countless publications from Vice, to the The Onion, to Boston Globe. Their 2006 debut DVD album, “DVD 1”, for which they created one music video for each song along with tons of extra footage, has been wildly popular with 13 year-old boys, hot college girls, unemployed post-college stoners and successful CEOs alike.
Now, after over a full years work in studios from Germany to Jamaica to Los Angeles, Porsches on the Autobahn are getting set to release their new album, "SO COOL!!" Everything from the top-notch production by Volker Dassler, the outstanding songwriting, and topless body painted models on the cover are all being hailed as parts of one of the greatest dance albums ever made. The album is set to go on secret sale to fans of Porsches on the Autobahn pre-christmas 2008 and will later be released by a label in mid-2008.
