About me: The Portage Community Peace Coalition is a peace and justice organization based in Kent OH.
We have been holding a weekly sunday peace vigil since December 2001, organize local antiwar protests,
educational and cultural events, and participate in regional and national antiwar demonstrations.
The vigils are held from 6pm to 7pm during Fall and Winter months and from 7-8pm during the Spring and Summer.
New participants are always welcome, just come on down. We have a collection of signs for folks to use,
but feel free to bring your own.
Our meetings are generally every other wednesday at 8pm in downtown Kent, OH. See the schedule for the next
meeting date and location. They are open to the public and we strongly encourage anyone interested in getting
involved to come help plan for future actions.
