Port Blue is music that can be heard playing in elevators, hotel lobbies, airports, museums and restaurants inside my head. It is the soundtrack to my dreams. If I wrote music for movies, this is what my film scores would sound like. Much of the aesthetic of Port Blue is not what lies in the recordings but rather what is extracted from them.
Dreamscapes. No vocals.
In my opinion, there is a huge lack of imaginative, unconventional music being created by artists today and what little there is, goes widely unappreciated by the masses. Port Blue is my attempt at re-creating the music I want to hear and the emotions I want to feel.
I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoyed creating it. If by chance you ever feel as though you've come to know these songs, please consider yourself a friend because in a manner of speaking, you know me. This music is my heart and soul. This is who I am. With that being said, I am so very glad to meet you.
Taste the sky. Dream in color.
(2008)
An optimistic, idealist album composed of 10 short vignettes or "splashes" of shimmering melody, texture and rhythm underscored with layers of field recordings. "The Albatross EP" is the perfect soundtrack to an ethereal dream, a vivid selection of atmospheric music laced with glittering electronic tones. A solid addition to the canon of ambient pop electronica.
(2007)
13 wordless tracks delicately stitched together to create a collection of songs drenched with pacific-sweet melancholy. Sentimental textures and broad strokes of imagination make The Airship a sunset of an album guaranteed to see you through the longest days of winter and into the twilight of summer.
I follow Jesus Christ wholeheartedly. He is my life, my strength, my all.

Wow dude, I can't believe you're totally blowing up big time! That's awesome! I remember back in 2007 just randomly discovering your stuff and then you yourself turned me on to your Port Blue stuff via AIM. I will definitely be making it out for your SF show on the 9th and maybe the show @ Slim's too. Thanks for the inspiring music and hope nothing but the best for you!
That Pond Skater is fantastic, I totally feeel that song, Like The changing waves of life, all the things I have ever endured are all summed up in the tune. Very nice my freind.
I loved how you started your show with Port Blue... Everyone called me retarded though cuz I said thats you lol... Well... I just thought you should know that... Cuz I loved the show last night and you finally completed my 2 year quest to see you live lol And my old school SWD/Owl City tee is signed by you and Austin and retired on my wall for good... Since only 50 were ever made I decided I cant risk wearing it anymore :) But yea... I figured youd be more likely to read this message on here than Owl City with everyone showing you love there :) And I cant wait to see you again in October :D Oh yea... And im glad I learned the words to Strawberry Avalanche the night before the show so I could sing to it... It was super spiffy :) And your merch guy is pretty cool by the way lol
I finally put up some new electronica/ambient music after too long time, and it has the very imaginative title "Untitled". Please give it a listen! Thank you.
wow. i was SERIOUSLY about to say the exact same thing as Reuben right below me. =) i hope your coming out with another cd with Setting Sail on it. And if not, could you put it up on snocap? i'm DYING to get my hands on that song and add it to my soul calming playlist. PLEEEEZ. =) you'd be the most amazing ever if you did that.
hey setting sail is my favorite song, and i would love to take it with me.. is there any way you could link it to snocap and let me buy it??? thanks adam, god bless
ohhhhh wow. this is exactly what i need right now, some port blue music. to console my empty heart D':. no, i dont even have a heart. it's in the middle of the ocean. just my body is in michigan...well, just, thank you. I couldn't make it through the day without you. <3
Oh, herro (: I can't completely express how your music makes me feel because the feeling varies each time I listen. It's always good, though. It always goes along with whatever art I'm into at the time; from drawing to photography. I really do love your work. But I have to say, I am dissapointed in one aspect. I bought a limited edition t-shirt in january and STILL haven't gotten it. District Lines took my money and didn't send anything. :| so, I was hoping you could help me with that? I'd really appriciate that. If not.. well, you'll have a dissapointed fan D:
