About me: Port Hawkesbury (population 3,701) is a town located on the southwestern end of Cape Breton Island, on the north shore of the Strait of Canso, in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. The town, which was originally named Ship Harbour, is the business and industrial centre for the lower part of Cape Breton. Major employers include a large pulp and paper mill owned by the Swedish company Stora Enso, a call centre owned by EDS Canada, and a large coal fired power generating plant. Sad relics of failed industrial policies past include a mothballed oil refinery built by Gulf Oil in the early 1970s and a disused heavy water plant built by Atomic Energy of Canada Limited(AECL).

we finally got a show in Sydney and it was a 'dandy'. we opened for faber drive and Marianas Trench, two huge bands from Vancouver now being played on MUCH MUSIC. they liked us and took a copy of our demo. they are signed with 604 records (chad kruger from nickleback owns it) fingers crossed!!!

Just finished our MUCH MUSIC shoot and it was awesome!!We took them into the Civic Centre Shannon Room and showed them some good ole Hawkesbury hospitality!Thanks Arielle for everything and thanks MUCH and especially thanks our home town. Billy Joe, Paula Davis and Gary MacDonald for everything you done. The show will air sometime in January and it's called 'Music is my life'.We were filmed doing a private show for Arielle who will be featured on the show.

We used to make noise all around this town. Sometimes outdoors at the bandshell, before they ever had the Granville Green. We'd take extension cords and plug them into the lawyers office building next door. Varity shows in the auditorium, and school dances in the gym were some the gigs we played when we lived there. We used to get in trouble at those ones because they'd be a few people moshing and it was louder then people were used to I guess.
