Please, when it comes to your new body piercing, don't be lured in by price-slashing, bargains, or gimmicks. Don't rush or look for instant gratification, and for God's sake don't trust just anyone, or a friend, to do it for you simply because they have a few piercings and THINK they know what they're doing! This is your BODY, your HEALTH, and you can be put to SEVERE RISK!
We are licensed by NH's Board of Health and Human Services (just like doctors are!), licenses are visible! We autoclave jewelry and equipment, ATS records are available on request! We setup, clean up, and open packages in plain sight of the piercee, and we will answer any of your questions. We don't have anything to hide!

We listen to a wide variety of stuff around the shop. Anything from thrash, punk, oldies, rockabilly, horror rock, 80's hits, chickrock and whatever else. We like to mix it up. And of course we show support for local music and our friends in numerous bands around the country!

Portsmouth Piercing Co. is seacoast New Hampshire's original, and #1, professional body piercing studio. Located at 113 Daniel St. in the heart of beautiful downtown Portsmouth. Although the tattoo shop (commonly known as Hobo's) is separately owned and operated, we are very proud to share space with these fine gentlemen and artists! "Hobo's" has been a landmark in this community for 26 years now and with unprecedented longevity and an outstanding reputation we are proud to call this place home! While the tattoo studio opened it's doors in 1983, the body piercing section came in somewhere around 1990 while the whole place was still owned by Hobo himself. In 2003 the shop was divided with Hobo's retirement and lead tattoo artist Jason Scott took over the tattoo side, and resident body piercer Larry on the piercing end. That same year Larry took on a piercing apprentice, a young female protege and was able to pass on his 13+ years of knowledge and experience in the craft. When Larry chose to move on, his once apprentice, turned sole employee Randi, took over the helm as the shop manager and Portsmouth's only licensed body piercer, and finally, in 2007 ownership of Portsmouth Piercing Co. changed hands one last time. Spring of 2008 Randi took on an apprentice of her own, and coming up very soon the piercing shop will have 2 female licensed body piercers, Randi and Steph, and will once again be open 7 days a week! It's been nearly 20 years since body piercing became a part of this town, and while somethings have changed, our commitment to cleanliness, professionalism, quality service, and customer satisfaction will remain constant!
