About Port Stephens Music Alliance

Port Stephens Music Alliance or P.S.M.A are a group of like minded individuals from the Port Stephens area dedicated to the growth and sustainability of music within the community for future generations. Our main goal is to obtain a consistent and permanent residence to expose the youth and peoples of our community to music from near and far in hopes of sparking an interest and a growth in musical events in the Port Stephens shire. Ideally this growth leading to a large annual festival event attracting people from all over New South Wales and ultimately the entire country of Australia. There are many benefits both financially and socially to get such an organisation off the ground. The inclusion of youth in our area in musical workshops and participation as spectators and performers are other key goals. Keeping the youths of our area off the streets and contributing to a project that they are directly involved in can only be beneficial to the growth and sustainability of music in our community.

For such an organisation to obtain our goals we firstly need a permanent venue and substantial audio system and technicians and backing from our local leaders and businesses. Any help and assistance you can give our organisation would be beneficial to our goals and ultimately the community as a whole. All help will be submitted with a portfolio to council and government bodies to assist in our growth. All sponsors will be advertised within our community via our shows, workshops, posters and media exposure.
