In late 2004, Brett Bernier and Dave Valletta began playing coffee houses and open mics together, just for fun. In July of 2005, they hooked up with long-time friend and bassist Chris DelGobbo, and named the band Symptoms. They started playing slightly larger venues, but found out there were numerous bands called Symptoms already. Positive Chaos was formed. Towards the end of 2005, they picked up another guitarist, but he didnt really fit the mold of the band, and was released in a short amount of time. In July 2006, Positive Chaos started writing and recorded their first album, "Sure Fire Way". The next month was a major hurdle for the band, because a thousand miles separated them, with the onset of college. During school months, the guys are on somewhat of a break. They still write and record, and send music to each other, as well as play shows when they can. The album was released November 14, 2006, digitally and in CD form. In January of 2007, Positive Chaos announced that Ohio-native Tyler Turner will join the band as rhythm guitar. Currently, they have a number of ideas to work on this summer, with a goal of doing another full album in the next few months.
