POSTER-ITI was formed in early 2003 by Can and Deniz. Afterwards, Korhan started to play bass and Can (uzun) started to sing for POSTER-ITI. When we were formed the band just playing classic punk rock covers. However, little bit later Yaprak came to vocals. First we started to gigging in 2004 and after the first gig Korhan left the band and replaced as Özgür. This line-up was continued about two years and played a few gigs together. In that period we released "Sari Cizgiyi Gecmeyiniz" (means “Don’t Pass the Yellow Line”) CD Demo in 2005. This earlier POSTER-ITI release has pretty different than the present sound of the band. It’s much closer to ’77 sound with some mixture of Oi!
After that release, Yaprak left the band and vocals were taken care of by Ersin. The next lost was Deniz. When she left, the band disbanded for a while. In 2006 summer, we found a new drummer who played for NOT MADE IN CHINA before. Then started to rehearsals again.
9th November 2006, THE EXPLOITED played in Istanbul first time and POSTER-ITI played as a support band with the other local punk bands.
In 2007, line-up changed again. At last Burak came back to the drum kit and Mert came to the bass (still the same). In 2008 we recorded "Can You Think Straight?" three track CD Demo EP and recorded "Self-titled" rehearsal demo tape which includes old songs of POSTER-ITI and some classic punk cover songs.
In 2009, we hit the Germany by organization of BLOCK ACTION MUSIC. Tour was planned to be ten gigs, but some visa problems we missed many of them and made only three concerts in Schwabisch Gmünd (Esperanza), München (Juze Taufkirchen) and Chemnitz (Subway to Peter) and played with some german punk bands like 1328 and RASTA KNAST.
POSTER-ITI is mainly influenced by UK82. Normally we play in some local live bars in Istanbul and doing DIY gigs. POSTER-ITI's attitude and lyrics are about total attack to war, fascism, racism, nationalism, religion, government, popular culture, bigoted society and other countless fucking things...
