"Overall, Memory Banks of Blue is a remarkable album. Brilliantly arranged and executed, it holds many surprises...One of the most ambitious releases I’ve heard from a local artist in recent memory, it should definitely be heard." - SmilePolitely.com
"Part folk, part rock, but entirely soulful, Post Historic played a kind of music that isn't really made anymore. Music with substance. Music that elicits feeling. Music that not only can make you sway, but sometimes has the power to just pin you back into your seat." - Hoopleton.com
Post Historic is a rock band based out of Champaign/Urbana, IL. Their music can be described as folk rock that embraces newer musical directions but still maintains the craft of songwriting as a focal point. Their sound has been compared to rock greats R.E.M. and indie rockers, My Morning Jacket. In April 2008 Post Historic released their debut CD, “Memory Banks of Blue” and set off on a promotional tour across the midwest. The album evokes nostalgic images of dilapidated cities, open highway landscapes, and burned out beaches, with an often melancholy, yet hopeful lyric.
Post Historic is committed to the idea of holding onto the past while looking forward to the future.
