The band was formed in 2004 when the brothers Bruno and Daniel Añaña wanted to create a death/thrash metal band. Soon they met Douglas Veiga and Willian Knuth.
Back in that time, the band was called Wargod with this line up: Willian Knuth (vocals), Bruno Añaña (guitars), Douglas Veiga (drums) and Daniel Añaña (bass), but after the debut gig they change the name to Postmortem, a tribute to the thrash metal masters Slayer.
After that, Daniel had to quit the band and Matheus Heres replace his bass duties and the group focused his musical creations to the death metal genre. Later Willian moved to another town and left the band, them Bruno assumed the vocals and a second guitar player joined the death metal assault, Mou Machado. The band gained heaviness and extreme power with these changes, which can be heard on the first demo cd, “OUT OF TOMB”, recorded at the ELECTRIC STUDIOS, between 2006/2007 in Pelotas/RS, south of Brazil.
Now they spread his music across the death metal scene and seek for a record / distribution label.

A banda se formou na metade de 2004, quando os irmão Daniel e Bruno Añaña resolveram formar uma banda de Death/Thrash Metal. Após algumas procuras, surgiu a primeira formação da Postmortem, que na época chamava-se War God, a banda era Daniel Añaña(b), Douglas Veiga(d), Bruno Añaña(g) e Willian Knuth(v).
O tempo passou e Daniel teve de deixar a banda para dedicar-se aos estudos. Surgiu então Matheus Heres(b). A banda deixou de lado o Thrash Metal, passando a dedicar-se inteiramente ao Death Metal.
Muitos shows se passaram até que Willian Knuth teve de deixar a banda por motivos pessoais. Bruno Añaña resolveu assumir os vocais e um 2ª guitarrissta juntou-se a banda, Mou Machado.
A banda ganhou peso e muita força com estas mudanças que podem ser vistas na primeira DEMO da banda, gravada entre 2006/2007 em Pelotas, no estúdio ELECTRIC. A DEMO se chama OUT OF TOMB, contando com 4 faixas e uma introdução. A banda agora divulga sua demo estado a fora.
