Joshua Sumner (SmokaJoka) & Scott Sumner (RapidFire) began their career as solo artists, doing a few collaberations together once in awhile in 1999. Cousins, but close as brothers, they began battle rapping on various sites under the names SmokaJoka666 & Stitched Morbid Lord (which would later be changed)...sites such as Metaphorical Siccness, Hip Hop Crip, HHAP, Rap Music, Rap Battles, Sicc Made Rhymes, Conklusive, and many other sites that have come, gone, and are still present. They began a crew called I.J.L. which was at first just the tag team of this duo....and it took flight in 2000 and remains one of the oldest rap battle crews on the internet. Smoka & Rapid then started tackling audios in a more serious manner and started doing songs instead of collaberations and battle disses. Collecting free beats to try to practice topical writing and flows they met Dank The Fallen who lived 3 hours to the north. Smoka & Rapid went to Atlanta to record with Dank, and do a few collaberations for his "Secular Passage" album. While in Atlanta, Smoka, Rapid, and Dank started their own tracks...Rapid suggested calling the trio PostmorteM...thus, they were born. Dank later moved to Alabama...killing off ties with him. PostmorteM has now skyrocketed to the duo it is today and will continue to grow. Doing small shows, and the Bomb House at the Gathering. PostmorteM went to the Gathering of the Juggalo's '06 with around 50 cd's to give away, and ended up having to sell all of them to get home. With a mixture of darkness, evil thoughts, hardcore rap, etc. PostmorteM will release the Nightstalkers LP in 2007 pressed and completely renewed with old tracks from the Graveyard Shift EP & alot more new ones.
