2003-2007



Tunica Dartos plays 60 concerts. Some gigs in Germany and Spain are following. In the year 2006, three samplers which contain one song each from Tunica Dartos are appearing. 




2008



Tunica Dartos goes on tour for one month. 15 concerts in Germany and U.K. are the result! 




2009



Tunica Dartos did a record at the electrical audio, chicago with steve albini in june.


2010


Tunica Dartos starts to work with Little Jig Records, to release its debut album «Sound Buffet ». 


Beginning of 2011


Tunica Dartos releases the debut album «Sound Buffet » (Little Jig Records) Two more EP’s which contain unreleased tracks of the recording session in Chicago are following.


Middle of 2011


Tunica Dartos takes a step into the art of theatrical business. The band writes music for a dance theatre and gives its debut in dancing and performing within. They do three shows with "à nu" in a row at the lucerne indie theatre « la fourmi »


End of 2011


Tunica Dartos records its beside project « H.T. RØNJES » which is an alternative music mix of different styles in range of electro, ambient, rock and pop. The Album "Sound Buffet" and the Song "Co-Pilot" are selected for the Kick Ass Award 2011 for best Album and best Song.


2012

    Eine geballte Ladung Energie – Roh, direkt und vor allem echt: So lautet das Credo des Schweizer Postrock-Trios Tunica Dartos. Im Januar erscheint ihr Debutalbum „Sound Buffet", welches von niemand geringerem als Steven Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Breeders, u.v.m.) in Chicago aufgenommen wurde. Man darf sich beim Debut der Luzerner Instrumentalband auf einen musikalischen Leckerbissen freuen. „Sound Buffet" besticht durch seine einzigartige Mischung aus natürlicher Rohheit und technisch hohem Niveau. Keine unnötigen Effekte, keine unnötigen Overdubs: Das Album wurde live in wenigen Tagen eingespielt. Man kann die gebündelte Energie beim Hören der Platte merklich spüren. Tunica Dartos haben sich vor allem durch ihre Live-Shows einen Namen im In- und Ausland gemacht. Mehrere Touren durch ganz Europa und in den USA sind ein deutliches Zeichen: Die Band ist innovativ und engagiert in dem was sie tut. Dabei sind es keine grossen Geschichten, welche die Band erzählen müsste. Besagt nicht ein bekanntes Sprichwort „Worte sind nur Schall und Rauch"? Tunica Dartos haben sich die Bedeutung des Satzes einverleibt. Ihre Sprache ist die wortlose Musik. Vielleicht ist die Band genau deswegen so resistent gegen die Einflüsse der Zeit, die schon so manche Indie-Band in Schall und Rauch auflösten. Das Werk von Tunica Dartos hat im Ausland bereits im Vorfeld helle Begeisterung ausgelöst. In den USA erschienen bereits Albumrezensionen, welche „Sound Buffet" prompt mit Höchstnoten ausgezeichnet haben. Man darf also gespannt sein! „Sound Buffet" beinhaltet 12 Tracks und ist seit Januar 2011 erhältlich.
