d-beat, hc, oldschool Death Metal, industrial, all the people who are active in the antifa/ squatter/ vegan/ antiglob/ diy movement and provide so much energy to make this world a better place to live in. you are our biggest source of inspiration. thanks
Post War Depression started in autumn 2005 as a 3-piece d-beat project with metal gods stefan and hendrik on guitars and hannes on drums. the vocal wonder woman from milano, jenny, joined as our singer soon after, and we did some shows. we found out our friend lea was not only amazingly charming but also played bass, so we asked her to take part in the band and she said yes. it was only a matter of time we asked chris to do the second voice, he single-handedly knocked us out with his friendly nature and skateboarding skills, and of course a killer voice. we played more cool gigs.
at one point (after one of our worst gigs ever), jenny left the band, leaving a giant hole in the vocal department. after a while, we asked vroni, our beloved driver (who actually never drove us anywhere back then) to do vocals, and what can i say, she blew us away on the spot with her razorsharp screams, and still does by the way. this line-up did some of the most brutal flickknife parts and sincere metal posing, mostly making up for the lack of musical skills.
we recorded some stuff with martin (gunmob, slump) for a split with the incredible hellborn messiah (which has yet to come out...) soon after, stefan quit the band due to family commitments. he's one of the most relaxed, uncomplicated persons & will remain a close friend until the dreaded day the almighty tresckow will bring forth apocalypse and destroy everything.
simon from erstein/strasbourg answered our ad, he's a very nice guy and plays sophisticated guitar style deluxe. so here we are, looking into a turbulent future full of neckbreaking flickknife mosh mayhem.
