Born in Veracruz and raised in Mexico City, Jiony has been fine-tuning his own unique brand of quirky snake-charmer techno since the tender age of 15. Drawing from a wide range of musical influences, Jiony embraces sounds based in everything from shoegazer rock to electro-pop. Jionyís compositions taunt and tease, bringing distinct rhythmic elements into playful convers
As a dj, Jiony draws his audience in with deep and soulful minimal cuts that are as mischievous as his productions. While still new to the scene, Jiony promises to reenergize the Mexican club world with his distinctive sound and fresh outlook on music.
Jiony has shared the stage with international djs in clubs across Mexico and Germany including: Satoshi Tomiie, Nathan Fake, Anthony Pappa, Monoroom, Monika Kruse.
Jiony is a member of Nomada; a collective of djs and producers dedicated to promoting electronic music culture in Mexico. Currently, Jiony is working on his first ·lbum and will release his first EP (Sin Palabra) with Barcelona's label LEICHTklang.
