Potential Falcon are Simon Connolly, Joe Foley, Donovan Martin, Huw Murdoch and Hugo Temby. Four fifths of Potential Falcon reside in Melbourne, Hugo lives in Canberra. This may appear to present a problem, but we love him so we make it work. We have just finished making our debut album, we've named it 'Wings on fire' out now through our own label, Lost Rider(distributed by Stomp). We appreciate a cuddle every now and again, warm beds and good food are also a must. When in Canberra, Potential Falcon stay with their parents and eat Laksa from the Asian noodle house in Dickson. When in Sydney we eat breakfast rolls from Gusto in Bondi, and dinner at Spice I Am. Sponsorship of some kind from either establishment would be greatly appreciated.
Our new album is entitled 'Wings on Fire' and is available now in all good record stores and from itunes thanks to Stomp Entertainment.
You can buy our mini-album "Hank Williams' Grave" online from Waterfront Records, or on i-tunes, or from that increasingly rarefied institution, your local record store.............
Roll up roll up, Vultures of Venus are back in town you funky disco cats. And guess what? ... their self-titled debut LP is finally here! Ten tracks of unadulterated Glampunk Electro madness! It’s unleashed on Thursday 29th of October at Bar Open on Brunswick St. It’s Bowie on steroids; it’s Marquis de Sade and Andy Warhol screaming at the moon through a home-made vocoder. The Lollyshop is open for business ! It’s going to be a huge night filled with bubble machines, strobes, psychedelic video projections and cautionary tales to tell your grandchildren. It will also feature live performances from those vixens of burlesque “the Venus Man Traps”. Support on the night comes from psych-popsters Go-Go Sapien serving up synth-infected garage with lashings of ravenous big sexy guitars. Make sure you get down early to catch the debut performance by newcomers Tusk. And most importantly we have kept the entry fee down to a very affordable – FREE ! Copies of Vultures of Venus’s LP can be scoped up for a low $10 on the night. Yee-Har space cadets !

G'day Come on down to the Tote on Sunday the 27th of September to celebrate the end of another Footy season. The back line will be ably defended by Gruntbucket. Coming off the bench to take their position on the wing are Dirty York. Winning the ball at all the stoppages will be the mighty mid field attack of The Get Go. They'll send the ball rocketing toward the fantastic forward line of Clinkerfield who are sure to kick a swag of goals. There'll be plenty of snags on the barbie to help with the hangover.
