Special Programs

ACCOUNTANTS FOR ARTS & APPLES
Our Accountants for Arts & Apples program is one of Potter & Company's annual events that we developed to showcase children's artwork from regional schools.

Each year our firm invites hundreds of school children to participate in a free-form art contest. A committee then judges and selects the winning entries and awards scholarships to the winning schools.

Each winning entry is then showcased on special Holiday cards and other Potter & Company literature.

FEED THE PIG
One of the most important programs that we believe in as a firm is financial literacy education for our children. For some parents, talking to a child about money is almost as hard as broaching some of those other difficult subjects. But understanding what money is and how to manage it is a crucial life skill parents must pass on to their children. It’s never too early to start giving your child a solid foundation for making a lifetime of financial decisions.

Several stages of how to teach your children how to respect and manage money can include: 1. Teach your child how to manage an allowance; 2. Open a bank account with your child; 3. Show your child how to set and then save for financial goals; and 4. Teach your child how to be a smart consumer.
