Harry Potter Destroys Lord Voldemort and Forms a new Wizard Rock Band called Potter Noyz!
Since the death of Lord Voldemort, many have asked why Harry Potter, the Boy who Lived and the hero of the revolution, would choose to form a Wizard Rock band so shortly after such a trying ordeal. Although curious as to the reasons, not many have complained; Harry's band Potter Noyz has risen meteorically to the top of the Wizard Rock Charts, and their Voldy's Gone Moldy Tour continues to sell out at every venue. The only notable exception to the Potter Noyz craze has come from Rita Skeeter, whose review, "Harry Rocker, the Boy who Stinks" caused such an outcry from Potter Noyz fans that she was forced into hiding for several weeks. Other musical critics have been far more flattering, with praise such as the following:
"Some have wondered whether the success of Potter Noyz can be attributed entirely to curiosity around the band's frontman. Having begun as a skeptic myself, I can tell you quite frankly that this band is the real deal. Not since Phoenix Falls Down have I seen a band with such creativity, passion, and sheer energy in their music. If they keep up at this pace, it won't be long before they find themselves in the same league as the legendary Jarvies." - Ullyses Knockwander from Rolling Wand Magazine
"Would wizards travel from around the globe just to catch a glipse of Harry and his motley crew? Probably. But did they leave the stadium disappointed? Not a chance! From the opening wail of Ron's guitar to the closing crash on Peeves' symbols, the crowd was held captive as if by magic." - Pimbsley Hattersfield from Wizard Rock Review
"...Harry's haunting rendition of "Hey Ginny" left me with plimpybumps and such sense of longing, I found myself wishing that I had brought my polyjuice potion to turn myself into Ginny and get me a hunk o' Harry!" - Carlotta Bouncelove, from This Week in Wizard Rock
"What better way to celebrate the end of He Who Was Destroyed than to listen to the stories as sung by those who actually did the destroying? And come to find out, they're not such bad musicians! Their music, while raw, shows remarkable maturity for ones so new to the music scene." - Pheonie Yamswater, music critic from the Daily Prophet
But Why?!
Yet the question lingering on everyone's mind is: "Why would Harry Potter form a Wizard Rock Band?"
The short answer is compulsion. Magical compulsion, to be more precise. The band has been cursed with an uncontrollable need to create music. Should they go even a few days without rocking out, they begin to break out into a red rash that not only itches, but makes a buzzing sound like guitar strings. The curse took hold immediately after the destruction of Voldemort's original phoenix-feather wand, when the band members were immersed in what they described as "a glowing orb that sounded like the voices of a thousand Wizard Rockers." For full details, see the article entitled "Harry Potter and the Wand of Wizard Rock," by Xenophilius Lovegood in the August 13th, 2007 edition of the Quibbler.
Their Curse is Our Blessing!
Fortunately, with their curse, the band was simultaneously endowed with the ability to wrock n' roll with the best of them. The more they play, the better they feel, and so they have wrocked the wizarding community across the nation in all kinds of venues. Their critically acclaimed Voldy's Gone Moldy Tour ran through September 2007, after which time several of the bandmembers returned to Hogwarts. While the band has plans to record their songs and put out an album at some point in the near future, in the meantime they invite any fans who have been to a concert to send in their "wand-grabbed" (what Muggles would call "bootlegged") songs from their concerts, which they will post on this site. The band's policy is to always offer one song for free download, but they'll rotate which song is downloadable every few days.
Where Have All The Wizard Rockers Gone?
Much speculation has gone into the cause of the band's curse, and what may be a related phenomenon: the fact that many of the wizarding world's musicians have turned up missing or dead. Some evidence points to the fact that, before his death, Voldemort may have been trying to personally kill off the Wizard Rock bands of the world. If you or anyone you know has any information about what Voldemort may have been up to, or if you hear of any additional bands that have suffered tragic fates, the band asks you to kindly send your information to potternoyz@gmail.com.
What's Next?
Until a magical remedy is found, the band carries on trying to balance their musical careers with their normal lives the best they can. Harry still thinks to someday become an auror, and is finishing his last year at Hogwarts while trying to play as much music as possible on the side. George continues to run Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes, and Ron helps George out with mail orders while also attending his final year at Hogwarts. Kreacher remains Harry's loyal friend and companion. And Peeves... well, Peeves usually just hangs around long enough to bang on his drums before flying off to cause trouble with his newly founded ghost fanclub.
Many questions remain for the band members of Potter Noyz:
Will they uncover the mystery behind Voldemort's violent rampage against music?
Will they ever find a cure to their magical malady?
Will they be able to pull together any semblance of a normal life?
Will they continue to make wizarding musical history for years to come, or will they burn out like a lumos in the wind?
And will Ron be able to maintain his relationship with Hermione when he has dozens of witches literally throwing themselves at him (sometimes quite violently using launching spells) during every concert?
So we invite you to join us on their adventures, as the band members have launched their Potter Noyz Podcasts on iTunes and update their blog to keep everyone up to speed on their activities. You can always let the band know what you think at potternoyz@gmail.com or by posting a comment.
Thanks so much for accepting my friend request! Stephanie and the Quaffles is a brand new wrock band, so there's not too much on my page yet, but feel free to come on over and check it out! Hopefully I'll be getting up more songs soon : )
There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.

Wow, it's been one heckuva year, hasn't it? A whole year since I've watched you perform LIVE. It's such a shame that the danger in the wizard world has forced you guys to go underground, but I daresay the fans completely understand it--at least the BEST fans. ;). I know I do. I've sure missed you and your acts with that live dragon and liger? Is that what that thing was at the last concert? Anyway, I sure hope you can come back soon--we miss you something fierce, and have been doing so for a long time. But even if you can't, I'll always keep a light on for ya. LUMOS MAXIMA!
FINAL CALL. Just thought I'd try this one last time. I'm probably getting annoying by now, aren't I? Heh. Anyways, our absolutely FINAL auction is going to take place on July 1st. All proceeds are going to be sent to the Lesbian and Gay Fund of Colorado. So far, we've made plenty of money, but it's worth it to try to earn more! If you have absolutely ANY items you would be willing to donate to this cause, contact me. Even if you don't, might as well contact me too, so I know I'm not just being a nuisance. ;D Thank you so much! The LGBT appreciates it!
Hey guys, sorry to bother you (again!) lol. I'm just desperately trying to find some help for the upcoming auction. Anyone willing to donate. If you're interested, please let me know. :) If not, please let me know, too! Lol. And if you know anyone else, please spread the word! All the money I'm making is going to the Gay and Lesbian Center of Colorado. Thank you!
At my school, I am going to have a fundraiser in order to support the LGBT. (If you don't know what that means, it's the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender parties.) A few days ago was the Day of Silence, and I think it's a great kick off for this fundraiser. People are highly influenced by the power of music, and by the power of books. What does that mean? Wizard Rock. We are going to have a large get together where we are playing Wizard Rock music, watching Harry Potter, etc. All the money we earn is going to be donated to support these groups of people. If any of you have any clothing merchandise, or new - and affordable - c.d.'s, please message me, so I can purchase them from you and we can auction them off at this event! THANK YOU!
What up Potter Noyz? :D Hope you guys are doing well. :D Things here? Cold, cold, cold. Hope spring gets here soon, so my fingers warm up. :D Take care guys...your fan and friend always...
Hey guys! How is everything going? Been missing you folks something awful these past few months. I am sure you all have something brewin' in your cauldron, but I just wanted to stop by and give you a big shout out. :D Catch you soon...
